It's been a while since I got a new nickname. At least one that I'm aware of, that is. Now I have two new ones!
Apparently, a community of people who were part of CCDE beta have been calling me both "Early Warning System" and "Barometer". It appears that I'm the most restless of us all to get the results :-). To be fully honest, I like my new nicknames and to be even more honest... I hope not to keep using them for long. I would like to get results... yesterday.
I'm sure that CCDE team themselves have my 3rd nickname, not publicly announced.
According to the original plan, results were supposed to be available by tomorrow. Oh the wait!

Hopefully for you your next nickname will be "CCDE 10nn!"
I'm so torn between this or the SP track as my next "hobby"...
Hope dies last!
However, it's debatable whether it will be 10xx or something completely else. CCDE team generally doesn't like the current CCIE numbering scheme.
According to them, the current scheme does not communicate anything about when the certification was achieved. You can wildly guess based on the number, but it's still a wild guess. They wish to implement numbering scheme for CCDE that will somehow communicate at least a year.
So, we could expect to see something like "YYxxxx" as CCDE numbers. Of course, there is still no official Cisco position on this and it all remains to be seen.
And yeah, we are still waiting for the results. Written beta was over in September 2007 and results were available in January.
